Investigation of air accident at Oslo airport Gardermoen, Norway

Description

Tuesday 18 December 2018 Ethiopian Airlines with flghtnumber ET715 should be de-iced at de-icing platform Bravo North. The airline crew were instructed by de-icing personnel to use a track which is limited to airplanes with a wing span of less than 36 meters. A Boeing 787-9 has a wing span of 60,12 meters. The airplane right wing collided with a light mast. The wing were damaged approximately 3 meters from the wing tip and the light mast were severely damaged. There were no injuries or fuel leak.
