Description

Motor failure shortly after take-off from Kjeller airfield. Emergency landing on a field without aircraft or persons being injured. Major engine damage. Among other things, the rear cylinder connecting rod had punched a hole through the crankcase. The engine failure was most likely a result of the rear piston overheating, but the reason for this has not been established.
