Report concerning air traffic incident in Farris TMA 28 May 2014 between Cessna Aircraft Company T207A, LN-PER and an unknown radio-controlled aircraft
During climb out from Skien Airport Geiteryggen (ENSN) with six parachutists on board, LN-PER passed an object on opposite course. The object resembled a radio controlled aircraft and was seen by the commander and several of the parachutists on board. The incident happened at about 4,800 feet altitude in controlled airspace (Farris TMA). The commander assessed that the distance to the object was about 50 meters when passing it. After passing the object, the commander made a turn in order to visually follow the object, which shortly afterwards made a rapid spiraling descent. The commander elected to continue the climb after he had lost visual contact with the object.
