Investigation of air accident in Skäckersfjällen mountains, Jämtland, Sweden

In the evening of Tuesday 24 July 2018, while the helicopter was used for reindeer herding in the mountains, it was exposed to sudden difficult wind conditions close to the ground. The commander has explained that an immediate landing became the only option. The helicopter was landed on a scree slope. None of the two persons on board were injured. The helicopter was substantially damaged.

The Accident Investigation Board Norway (SHT) is investigating this air accident subsequent to a request from the Swedish Accident Investigation Authority (SHK).
